About the Author Amy Welborn is an American Catholic writer and activist, as well as a public speaker. Formerly, she was a theology teacher at a Catholic high school in Lakeland Florida and served as a parish Director of Religious Education. She was a columnist for Our Sunday Visitor as well as for Catholic News Service. Now she is the author of over twenty books on Catholic spirituality, apologetics and history. She holds a BA in history from the University of Tennessee and an MA in Church History from Vanderbilt University. Over the years, she has written regular columns for The Florida Catholic, Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service. Her articles have been published in The New York Times, National Review, Liguorian, Catholic Digest and many other periodicals.
