DescriptionIn the Xena: Warrior Princess episodes, The Debt (parts 1 and 2), Xena’s past is one filled with darkness and hatred. As a warlord, she plundered many villages and city-states, earning herself the title ‘Conqueror of Nations.’ Even after the Roman leader Caesar had betrayed her and broken her legs, Xena continued to wreak havoc across the face of the Ancient World. At one point, still hobbling from her injuries, she launched a furious attack against warriors on the plans of Chin. She impaled one soldier, but her lover, Borias, stopped her before she could murder any others. Ironically Xena’s lust for violence would lead her to her greatest mentor, Lao Ma, a woman who would teach the Warrior Princess about inner peace. Unfortunately, Xena refused to accept Lao Ma’s instruction, returning to her violent ways for many years before realising her mistakes and seeking redemption for her sins.
